At North Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Bible is our guide, Jesus is at the center, and love moves us forward. We are a church family committed to growing together, serving our community, and helping others discover the hope found in Christ.
The North Church has a rich legacy in North Philadelphia, but our focus has always been bigger than where we have been. We believe God continues to call us forward.
We are a community of believers seeking to live out our faith with authenticity. Through worship, biblical teaching, meaningful relationships, and service, our goal is simple: to reveal Jesus in the way we live and love.
Our vision is to be a unified body of believers whose sole purpose is to reveal Jesus Christ through genuine love and service.
We want The North Church to be a place where people encounter Christ, experience real community, and discover how their lives can make a difference.
Our mission is to reach and win people for Godβs Kingdom by building a church centered around:
N β Nurture
Helping people grow in their relationship with God.
O β Outreach
Taking the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church.
R β Relationship
Building genuine connections with God and with one another.
T β Truth
Remaining grounded in the truth of Scripture.
H β Holy Spirit
Depending on the Holy Spirit to guide everything we do.
Ndubuisi Nwade, affectionately known as “BC” is a dedicated pastor, preacher, mentor, song-writer, and worship leader. With a passion for teaching and worship his joy manifests in seeing people come into relationship with Jesus Christ and practical service to their families and communities.
He is a graduate of Oakwood University with a BA in Theology and a minor in Biblical Languages. He also holds a Masters degree in Divinity with a concentration in church growth and evangelism from the Seventh-day Adventist theological seminary at Andrews University. His desire to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus has led him to host conferences, revivals, seminars, and evangelistic meetings in his own churches and in churches across the world including in Canada, Nigeria, England, and Bermuda. A dynamic speaker, he believes in the practicality of the Gospel message, and its relevance in everyday life. His personal vision is to transform worship from a custom, to a culture.
He loves to cook, read, play video games, longboard, and read manga. His proudest achievement is his status as the husband of the beautiful Jasmine N. Nwade, and the father of their effervescent daughter Jean. He counts them as his highest joy and privilege. He believes firmly in the promise that if you can confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved.
