Our Beliefs

We believe the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God, given through divine inspiration. Scripture reveals the knowledge necessary for salvation and serves as the authoritative foundation for faith, character, doctrine, and Christian experience.

We believe God the eternal Father is the Creator, Source, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation. He is just and holy, merciful and gracious, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, and His character is revealed in the Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe God the eternal Holy Spirit was active with the Father and Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired Scripture, draws and transforms people, gives spiritual gifts, empowers the church, and leads believers into truth.

We believe men and women were created in the image of God with individuality and freedom of thought and action. Humanity fell through disobedience, but through Christ, God reconciles and restores those who turn to Him.

We believe the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus provide the only means of atonement for human sin. Through faith in Christ we receive forgiveness and the hope of eternal life, and His resurrection declares God's victory over sin and death.

We believe Christ's victory gives believers freedom from the powers of evil and a new life of peace, joy, and assurance. Through prayer, Scripture, worship, service, and the Holy Spirit, we continue to grow in the character of Jesus.

We believe the universal church includes all who truly believe in Christ. In the last days, a remnant is called to keep God's commandments and the faith of Jesus, proclaim the judgment hour, salvation through Christ, and His soon return, as pictured in Revelation 14.

We believe baptism is a public confession of faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus and a symbol of new life in Him. Baptism is by immersion in water following faith, repentance, and instruction in Scripture.

We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to the members of the church for ministry, service, unity, and the building up of the body of Christ. Every believer is called to use these gifts faithfully for the good of the church and humanity.

We believe the principles of God's law are expressed in the Ten Commandments and demonstrated in the life of Christ. Salvation is entirely by grace, while obedience is the fruit of faith and evidence of love for God and others.

We believe God entrusts us with our time, abilities, possessions, opportunities, and the resources of the earth. We acknowledge His ownership through faithful service, tithes, offerings, and responsible care for what He has given.

We believe marriage was established by God as a lifelong union between a man and a woman in loving companionship. Families are called to reflect Christ's love through mutual honor, responsibility, faithfulness, and the spiritual nurture of children.

We believe the return of Jesus is the blessed hope of the church. His coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide. The time has not been revealed, so believers are called to live ready for His return.

We believe the millennium is the thousand-year reign of Christ with His saints in heaven between the first and second resurrections. At its conclusion, sin and sinners will be destroyed and the earth cleansed.

We believe there is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever present, and forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service.

We believe God the eternal Son became human in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, God's character is revealed, humanity is saved, and the world is judged. He died for our sins, rose from the dead, ministers for us in heaven, and will return in glory.

We believe God is the Creator of all things. Scripture describes His recent creation of the world in six literal days and His rest on the seventh, establishing the Sabbath as a lasting memorial of His creative work.

We believe humanity is involved in a great conflict between Christ and Satan concerning God's character, law, and sovereignty. Christ sends the Holy Spirit and loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain His people in the way of salvation.

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through Christ we are justified and adopted into God's family, and through the Holy Spirit we are renewed, transformed, and empowered to live a new life.

We believe the church is the community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We gather for worship, fellowship, instruction, communion, service, and the worldwide sharing of the Gospel.

We believe the church is one body made up of people from every nation and background. In Christ, differences of race, culture, nationality, social status, and sex must not divide us; through one Spirit we are united in faith, fellowship, service, and witness.

We believe communion is an expression of faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. It includes the emblems of His body and blood and the service of foot washing as a symbol of renewed cleansing, humility, service, and unity.

We believe prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit and an identifying mark of the remnant church. This gift was manifested in the ministry of Ellen G. White, whose writings provide comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction, while the Bible remains the standard by which all teaching and experience are tested.

We believe God established the seventh-day Sabbath as a day of rest, worship, and ministry. From sunset to sunset, the Sabbath is a joyful time of communion with God and one another and a celebration of His creative and redemptive work.

We believe Christians are called to think, feel, and act in harmony with biblical principles. This includes pursuing Christlike purity, modesty, health, and joy, caring for our bodies, choosing wholesome entertainment, and abstaining from unclean foods, alcohol, tobacco, and irresponsible drug use.

We believe Christ ministers on our behalf in the heavenly sanctuary as our great High Priest. In 1844 He entered the second and final phase of His atoning ministry, a work of investigative judgment that reveals who are abiding in Christ and will conclude before His Second Coming.

We believe death is an unconscious state until the resurrection. At Christ's return, the righteous dead will be raised and, together with the righteous living, will be glorified and meet the Lord.

We believe God will create a new earth as the eternal home of the redeemed. Suffering, death, and sin will be no more, and God's people will live forever in His presence in love, joy, and peace.
